My husband and I got married in Hawaii almost a decade ago. It was the most perfect day ever, with everything going exactly according to plan. The weather mid-January weather was beautiful, there were no embarrassing scenes caused by drunken relatives, and we have amazing photos and videos from the event. Ever since then, the islands have held a special place in our hearts. We promised each other that we would go back to celebrate our 10th anniversary there, so it's about time to start checking into Oahu vacation packages.
We were married in Honolulu at a lovely little chapel right off Waikiki Beach, and still remember the area fairly well. Nevertheless, I'm sure that Oahu vacation packages have changed at least a little bit since we last visited, so we're going to have to start from scratch when planning our anniversary trip. If I recall correctly, the last time we were there, we took advantage of a so-called "honeymoon deal" that included airfare, hotel, a rental car, and associated wedding fees for the chapel, flowers, photographer, musician, clergyman, and more. Obviously, we don't need that sort of Oahu vacation package this time around, so we're just going to look for something that focuses on fun.
One thing we might want to do differently on our return trip is visit some of the other islands. We just stayed in one place the last time we visited, but I think it would be kind of cool to venture off to Maui, the Big Island, or Lanai for a change of pace. So if we can find an Oahu vacation package that includes travel to other destinations, then we'll probably go that route. But even if we can't, we'd have no problem heading off to climb Diamond Head, pay our respects at the Pearl Harbor memorials, watching surfers on the North Shore, or snorkeling in the breathtakingly clear waters of Hanauma Bay once again. Seriously, is there such a thing as bad Oahu vacation packages out there? I doubt it!
To sum up, I guess what we want our Oahu vacation package to feature reasonable prices on airline tickets and accommodation, as well as a rental car discount, travel between islands, and coupons or vouchers for restaurants, parks, shows, and other entertainment venues while we're there. It might seem like we're expecting a lot, but if we were able to book the perfect wedding this way, I'm sure we'll be able to come up with the perfect holiday as well.
It's been a long time coming, but I'm positive that our trip to Hawaii to celebrate our 10th anniversary will prove to be just as wonderful and amazing as that first special journey. The whole thing starts with affordable Oahu vacation packages though, so I better keep shopping around until I come across something I like!
