Do You Have Sagging Skin?

There are going to be good years and bad years for everything in life. Your marriage may go up and down, but it can still be solid. You are going to go through a roller coaster of emotions as you raise your children. You may think you are going to look your best at 15, 25, or even 30 - but that is always hard to tell beforehand. Some things can go back and forth, but aging is something that goes in one direction. You can fight it, but you are not going to look 20 years old when you are 50 no matter what you do. Some things, like sagging skin, are just a fact of life.

Sagging skin comes from a few different things. One would be gaining and losing excess weight. The effects of this are different for each person, however. Some people just have more resilient skin. If they put on 50 pounds, they obviously have more skin. When they take it off, the skin can do two things. It can shrink back, which is of course, ideal. It can also hang there without much elasticity. This can have something to do with age, but not always. Some are going to have sagging skin and others are not. Its that simple.

Another common reason why some have sagging skin is pregnancy. The large stomach associated with pregnancy grows quickly, which means skin stretches as it grows. The skin does not always sag once weight is off, but it can sag elsewhere. The breasts can grow quite a few sizes during pregnancy, but they always go back to the regular size. Some swear they shrink even smaller in some cases. In that case, there can be sagging skin on the breasts as well. This can also happen under the arms and on the thighs if more weight was gained during pregnancy.

Sagging skin comes with age. Though regular exercise can help ward this off, it is going to happen eventually. It does not always happen at the same ages for women, as it can not happen until the 80s or even the 90s are reached. It depends on the woman, her habits, and her genes. The skin will sag in the same places that it would sag in the above situations. There is really not much you can do about this. Those that have remained slim their entire lives may not have as bit of an issue with it, but there will always be some sagging skin with which to contend.

If you have sagging skin, there are a few things you can do. The results that you get will depend on your age. If you are younger, you can do a lot with some exercise, though it might not totally help with the problem. Every little bit helps, however. You can also go about getting surgery that can remove the sagging skin. You are going to be left with a small scar in some cases, but this type of skin removal can really be helpful in making someone look and feel a whole lot better about themselves.
