Pocket Knives

Where I grew up, most of the men I knew carried pocket knives with them wherever they went. There are some that think of these things as something only hunters use, or those that have no good on their mind might carry. Que honestly, I never thought much of , and I came to realize how useful these things are, and how often you may find a need to have one. You may not think carrying small knives is something you should do, but even women can find a need to have one more often than they might think.

My grandfather always carried pocket knives, and he used them all of the time. He was a farmer, so there was no end to the uses that he found for them. You would never find him whout one, and though he is retired today, he still always has one with him. Perhaps is like wearing a watch. Even though you may have the time on your cell phone, wearing a watch can be so much of a hab that you still wear one when others have abandoned them. Pocket knives can be something that you dont think about each day, you just slip them into your pocket along with your wallet or your keys.

Some pocket knives come with more than just blades. They have scissors on them, and some even have flat and Phillips-head screw drivers. Those are larger, but they are awfully handy at times. Though there are some that carry them for protection, most who carry pocket knives are doing so because they find them so useful. Those in construction and other hands-on jobs are also those who commonly carry them. Some of the smaller ones can hang right from your keychain, and others are so big they have to go into your pocket.

Women can even benef from owning pocket knives, even if they dont carry them in their pocket. They f well in any purse. There are more times during the day than I can count when I need something cut. Having small portable knives in my pocket would save me a lot of time, though I dont carry them any longer. Just remember that though they are useful, they are considered a weapon. There will be some places where you cannot take them. When flying or going into any type of government office, you should probably leave your pocket knives at home.
